Garrett Rundell

Garrett Rundell is a Kansas transplant who moved to Oklahoma after graduating with a Degree in Business Administration from Kansas State University, in 1993. After running several small businesses in high school and college, Garrett entered "Corporate America" with the Men's Warehouse after relocating to Tulsa, OK. Garrett's lists of accomplishments with Men's Warehouse included "Rookie of the Year", promotions in store management to Oklahoma City, Arlington and Ft. Worth, TX. Garrett got married in Texas and relocated back to Tulsa, Oklahoma being blessed with a son Matthew and a lovely daughter Abigal. Using his experience in retail management, sales training and in dire need of health insurance with a new born son, Garrett entered the financial services industry and began working in Human Resources in the Training Department of Collections, Customer Services and Fraud representatives for a major credit card servicing company. Garrett began developing and teaching persuasion techniques in an existing comprehensive training program and was responsible for refresher sales training courses for the most experience collector's in the company. Garrett trained over 1,200 individuals in Tulsa Oklahoma, Baltimore Maryland, and Jacksonville Florida. Company performance increased tremendously during this time of improved training and sales that the company went public and Garrett begain working on his Master's Degree where he met his future boss.

Garrett was recruited while working on his master's degree by one of his professors, to develop a training program for Oklahoma Central Credit Union (OCCU). At the time Garrett joined the company, no training program existed and upper management had plans for growth. All training materials had to be created and a new software program would have to be taught to all existing 125 credit union employees plus the employee's management intended to hire. The existing customer service call center had a tenure staff, however, morale was low and leadership and continued training was insufficient for new products coming online with the credit union. In addition, new Federal Banking Requirements because of 9/11 required significant updating of computer technology for increased and improved security and tracking of finances. This too would require a platform change in the computer system of the credit union...a system that had been in existence for 30 years.

During this time, Garrett received his Master's Degree in Computer Information Systems. OCCU's deposits were increased from 75 million to 172 million in the first two years the training programs and new products were put into productions. The responsibilities at work continued to increase and the future prospects of personal growth and compensation looked bleak. During this time, Garrett had been in communication with a high school and colleage business partner who had been helping the owner of A-Pro Home Inspections Services, Inc. develop the franchising business of home inspections. After months of planning research, Garrett and his parents decided to open a family owned and operated A-Pro Home Inspection office in Tulsa, OK in September 2002. Research in the Home Inspection Market in Tulsa, Oklahoma revealed an incredible opportunity to improve the level of service and communication in this industry. Prices for services rendered were considered to be high for the services provided. Legislation was "in the hopper" at the State Legislature bringing regulation to "the Wild Wild West" of home inspection industry in Oklahoma, creating state oversight and licensing in the home inspection industry.

Garrett began working the A-Pro plan and business began to "take off". Additional office staff and field inspectors were needed to meet the market demands for A-Pro Home Inspection Services in Northeast Oklahoma. During the fifth year of business, the Tulsa office grew to become the largest A-Pro franchise in the country and one of the largest inspection companies in Northeast Oklahoma. The business plan and idea created on the back porch of Garrett's parent's home seemed to have disappeared. "Initially we wanted to find a business I could run and operate by myself from my home. After gaining experience and a highly respected name in the market place, we just grew. There were a lot of mistakes made and lessons learned in the first seven years of business." Life, time, and invaluable experience was gained during the first seven years in business. A-Pro has inspected thousands of homes and strives to provide the most accurate, thorough inspection services in Northeast Oklahoma.

In 2005, hurricane Katrina hit the Gulf of Mexico creating catastrophic damage to the New Orleans area including the corporate headquarters of A-Pro Home Inspection Services, Inc. The company relocated to San Antonio, TX and began rebuilding. Because of the success of the Tulsa office, Garrett's certifications and training background, Garrett was asked to become part of the corporate franchising training program. All new franchises for A-Pro Home Inspection Services Inc., now come to Tulsa, OK for their inspection training, field training, procedures and operations training.

Garrett has performed thousands of whole home inspections in Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, and Texas. Garrett is licensed by the State of Oklahoma (#193) and has received his National Property Inspector (NPI), Certified Senior Inspector (CSI), Professional Home Inspector (PHI), Certified Home Inspector (CHI) certifications. Garrett received a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from Kansas State University in 1992. Garrett received his Masters of Science in Computer Information Systems from the University of Phoenix in 2001.
Garrett is certified to perform environmental testing such as mold testing and inspections, water quality testing, radon gas testing and is very knowledgeable in the cause/effect relationships of the many different aspects, conditions, and situations that can be involved when purchasing a home. Garrett has experience at both the Local and Federal level for expert witnessing in court cases with regards to building standards, practices and construction performance.

"I love my job. I enjoy meeting people, going places and seeing different things. I enjoy teaching people things about the homes they are considering living in. We understand that our services are not required in the real estate transaction and we strive to provide the most professional, educational, informational, accurate and thorough inspection experience with each inspection for our clients. This truly is a job where experience is extremely valuable and a keen sense is important. We don't believe in quick, easy and greasy, this is not part of the real estate community that we serve by choice and it is a wonderful feeling! We make mistakes because we are human and believe it is not the situations that happen in life that make the individual rather the way the individual responds."

The company name was an important part in building and establishing a successful ongoing business. We wanted a name that would reflect who we are and what we are about. Our company name is Integrity Solutions Inc. and we strive to live up to that standard each day with each inspection we performed.
Congratulations on finding a home! We know this can be an overwhelming process. A-Pro is enthusiastic to provide any inspection services you may need and would enjoy answering any questions you may have about the inspection and/or home buying process.

Mike Rundell

In 2003, Mike began looking seriously at the opportunity to work in a small, family owned, home inspection business his family had started in Oklahoma.  After many meetings, phone conversations and trips up and down the mid-west from Oklahoma to North Dakota with the family, Mike relocated from Fargo North Dakota to Broken Arrow Oklahoma moving his family and changing careers.

Trading the freezing temperatures and frozen tundra of North Dakota for the tropical Oklahoma climate and a new opportunity, Mike joined the team full-time in April 2004.  The company growth and development created the demand for additional inspectors in northeast Oklahoma and Mike was the best choice.
Mike began learning the many different functions of the business and was instrumental in the growth and development of the company as it is today.  He received the highest score of any, who had taken the National Home Inspectors Exam, for licensing in Oklahoma for the first time, since licensing began in 2003.  Mike has been a licensed inspector (#363) since July of 2004 and has conducted thousands of whole home inspections in Oklahoma providing his clients with five (5) solid years of experience inspecting homes and commercial buildings.

In addition to performing whole home and building inspections, Mike is an experienced phase inspector.  Phase inspections are performed throughout the building process to ensure proper materials, methods and installations are performed before things are “covered up” and can no longer be seen.  These inspections are performed at critical times in the construction process as most of these processes in building a home or building are eventually covered and can not be visually inspected.

Since the fall of 2008, Mike has been providing phase inspections for The Muscogee (Creek) Nation Division of Housing for all new constructions homes in production.  Mike also performs inspections for The Muscogee (Creek) Nation Division of Housing for homes purchased throughout the year for their members. Mike has also begun working on the highest Inspector credentials available in the inspection industry today; Certified Master Inspector and plans to complete that program by next spring.

Prior to moving to Oklahoma, Mike enjoyed a successful career with Case IH Corporation spanning the time he graduated from college as a Service Representative growing through several promotions to a Product Information Specialist for Case Wheel loaders in Fargo North Dakota.
When New Holland merged with Case Mike received another promotion to Product Information Manager for Road Graders and Wheel Loaders.  Mike managed all printed and electronic forms of information for all brands of these products worldwide.  Mike also led the launch and introduction of Case road graders worldwide.  At the same time he developed and authored the Product Training Manual that would set the base line for all construction equipment products and all brands worldwide.

Mike is a Gorilla and attended Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg Kansas from September of 1985 through May of 1989.  Mike graduated from Pittsburg State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Automotive Technology with a minor in Business Administration.  While in college, Mike was a member of Sigma Tau Gamma fraternity and Society of Automotive Engineers.
